Stone Mountain State Park's centerpiece is a 600-foot granite dome surrounded by a mixed hardwood forest, offering hiking trails, designated rock climbing areas, miles of trout-fishing streams and a campground. Inside the Park Office is the Mountain Culture Exhibit, which displays how settlers would fend for themselves and their families in the wild, while inside the park the Hutchinson Homestead and Garden Creek Baptist Church are both historically significant sites worth visiting. Designated a National Natural Landmark, the 13,747 acre park is located near the town of Traphill.
